Atlantida

The novel tells the story of Pierre Arronax a French officer serving in World War I who becomes involved in an adventure that takes him to a lost city called Atlantis. Pierre discovers a manuscript written by a Portuguese soldier from the 16th century named Dom Antonio de Maragliano who claims to have discovered the hidden city of Atlantis during his travels. Eventually he arrives at a hidden oasis where he discovers the ancient city of Atlantis and encounters Antinea the last descendant of its ruling dynasty.
