Atlantoaxoid subluxation by suboccipital pott's disease

The suboccipital location of Pott''s disease is exceptional and may be complicated by compression of the bulbous-medullary junction due to instability of the cervico-occipital hinge requiring arthrodesis. In this monograph we review the different aspects of suboccipital tuberculosis in particular the epidemiology the particularity of the clinical the interest of the different paraclinical examinations (radiography CT Scan magnetic resonance imaging and biology) the different diagnostic modalities (positive differential and etiological) the prognosis and the different therapeutic modalities (medical and surgical treatments: indication and techniques).
