أطلس اللاعنف -Atlas allaʻonef

رغم الاعتراف الدولي الذي ناله إعلان الجمعيّة العامّة للأمم المتّحدة الداعي إلى إعلاء ثقافة اللاعنف في التسعينيات، غير أنّ العشريّة المنشودة بدت قاتمة منذ مطلعها. فقد بدأت بكارثة 11 سبتمبر 2001 وعولمة حالة الطوارئ، تلاها اشتعال حروب لا نزال نجرجر ذيولها حتّى الآن. إنطلاقًا من ذلك، تبدو ثقافة اللاعنف اليوم أكثر إلحاحاً من أيّ وقت آخر. هذا ما يدعو إليه الباحث والناشط السوري هيثم منّاع في كتابه الجديد أطلس اللاعنف، الذي يستعيد فيه أشهر أعلام ورموز الحركة اللاعنفيّة في العالم، موثّقاً لسياقاتها على مرّ الأزمنة واختلاف الأمكنة. وبوصفه أحد أبرز وجوه المعارضة السورية، في سنواتها السلميّة الأولى، يفكّك منّاع منطق اللجوء إلى العنف وتبعاته المريعة بشريّاً ووطنيّاً وإنسانيّاً خصوصاً في سوريا جرّاء حربها الطويلة، بينما يقدّم ثقافة اللاعنف لا بوصفها أطروحةً أخلاقيّة فقط، بل الخيار الأوّل والوحيد ربّما لخلاص البشريّة <br>Despite the international recognition gained by the UN General Assembly declaration calling for the promotion of a culture of nonviolence in the nineties the desired decade seemed bleak from its outset. It began with the disaster of September 11 2001 and the globalization of the state of emergency followed by the outbreak of wars whose tails we are still dragging until now. Based on this the culture of nonviolence today seems more urgent than ever. This is what Syrian researcher and activist Haytham Manna calls for in his new book 'Atlas of Nonviolence' in which he recalls the most famous figures and symbols of the nonviolent movement in the world documenting their contexts across different times and places. As one of the most prominent faces of the Syrian opposition in its early peaceful years Manna deconstructs the logic of resorting to violence and its terrible human national and humanitarian consequences especially in Syria due to its long war while presenting the culture of nonviolence not just as a moral thesis but perhaps as the first and only option for the salvation of humanity.
