Atoms and Stars

This book is for those who want to be acquainted with modern ideas about our Universe from elementary particles all the way up to clusters of galaxies and black holes. We will describe the structures of atoms and atomic nuclei the properties of various elementary particles and the process of “teleportation of quantum states. We will show that empty space is not empty but contains a lot of appearing and disappearing particles. The structure of stars and sources of their energy the origin and evolution of our Universe and much more are described. We will consider only those results of science that have been confirmed by experiments and observations. There are almost no mathematical formulas in this book. This is not a textbook or a scholarly article but a popular science book designed for non-experts in physics and astronomy.
