He specialises in the study of Indian politics in comparative and historical perspectives. Roy is co-editor of the </span><em style=background-color: rgba(255 255 255 1); color: rgba(15 17 17 1)>Cambridge Companion to Indian Politics and Society</em><span style=background-color: rgba(255 255 255 1); color: rgba(15 17 17 1)> forthcoming from Cambridge University Press in 2024. He holds a DPhil from the University of Oxford.</span></p>
