Authoritarian Leadership in Collaborators (2011) by John Hodge

About The Book

The well establishment of a country depends on the leadership pattern of its leader. A leader also has full rights to the country he leads. Ajadi and Adedeji in Imhonopy (2016) mentioned that a leader is viewed as the power that starts actions amongst individuals leads the activities and unifies efforts towards collective goals. This thesis is a play script analysis written by John Hodge Collaborators (2011). It explores the issue about authoritarian leadership and how far character setting and stage direction contributed in identifying that issue. This play script drama analysis is related with the concept of Power and Country by Niccolo Machiavelli. The application of the theory is also based on text and context based interpretation of the play script. The result of the analysis shows that in maintaining the power legitimacy is proven by two strategies done by a state leader through performing autocracy and personality cult.
