<p>When I as a seasoned Army officer and doctor with 22 years of service thought that I was prepared for anything life threw my way and happened to face the uncharted territory of parenting a child with Autism the journey is as unpredictable as it is transformative. But nothing better than this could have prepared me for the journey of parenting my sixteen-year-old son Addwik who is on the Autism spectrum. In “Autism and Me: A Journey of Discovery and Growth” with candour and vulnerability I share my experiences insights and lessons learned on this journey. Through twelve years of setbacks and small victories from the trenches of behavioural and sensory issues enjoying the triumphs of small milestones to the emotional rollercoaster of uncertainty and hope I invite you to walk alongside me and discover the true meaning of parenthood. But with each obstacle we’ve grown stronger and more determined - Responsible parents. This book is a testament to the power of love resilience and empowerment. It’s not about “curing” Autism or “winning” a battle; it’s about understanding accepting and supporting our children as they grow and thrive.
