Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) varies in each diagnosed individual i.e. each subject presents characteristics that although they comply with the diagnosis manifest themselves in different ways which can generate a difficulty at the time of entering and remaining in a higher education institution. Taking into account the above and the fact that there is also an affectation at a socio-emotional and communicative level this paper presents two case studies of ASD in higher education. In the first one an accompaniment is made around a professional vocation that supports the applicant to identify by means of psychoanalytical techniques the profession that will allow him to overcome his autistic withdrawal; and the second one in search of a psycho-pedagogical support to complete his higher education studies projecting himself in a job as a professional musician. The research was based on an approach of the psychoanalytic psychology of the self which uses empathy as a main tool a way of communication that allows analyzing the internal or subjective processes of people and generating inclusive education strategies.
