Autumn in Evergreen Valley

<p>After being away for nearly twenty years Emily Hoffman and her husband Karl decide to visit the rural Norwegian farming community Evergreen Valley where she grew up. Although her parents always provided for her needs cared for her and made sure she attended church regularly Emily still faced challenges as a young girl including a diagnosis of nerve deafness.<br />When Emily returns to her childhood community memories-some good some not so good-begin rising to the surface as she visits the family farm. As she recounts the difficult days leading to her diagnosis and more recent painful losses she also remembers the blessings God brought into her life filling her heart with love and joy. Soon Emily and Karl are befriended by Sam Wickerson an elderly man who seems to know much more about her than she does him. As Sam touches their hearts with his own stories of faith and resilience Emily comes to understand that life is a blend of joy love loss trials and pain and that God's plan for her is about to be unveiled.<br />In this poignant story of love friendship and faith a hearing-impaired Norwegian woman returns to her family farm where she revisits her memories and is guided to a new beginning.</p>
