<p><i>ÉvangÃ(c)line</i> traduit et imitÃ(c) de l'anglais est une adaptation française du cÃ(c)lèbre poème Ã(c)pique de Henry Wadsworth Longfellow. PubliÃ(c) initialement en anglais en 1847 le poème raconte l'histoire poignante d'ÉvangÃ(c)line une jeune Acadienne sÃ(c)parÃ(c)e de son fiancÃ(c) lors de la dÃ(c)portation des Acadiens par les Britanniques en 1755. Cette traduction de M. Poulin offre aux lecteurs francophones une occasion unique de dÃ(c)couvrir ou redÃ(c)couvrir ce rÃ(c)cit emblÃ(c)matique de l'histoire canadienne.
