Bachelor in Music and Artist/Teacher

This book presents the investigation about the pedagogical project of the Undergraduate Course in Music: Licenciatura of the State University of Rio Grande do Sul (UERGS) which lasted from 2006 to 2019 investigating the characteristics of an artist/teacher from what is expressed in the pedagogical project of the Undergraduate Course in Music: Licenciatura of UERGS. As methodology the research was marked by the qualitative approach by the documentary research as a method having as technique for data collection the collection of documents. The analyzed document was the pedagogical project of the course under analysis. The conclusion of this research discussed the graduate profile of the course presented in its pedagogical project as artist/teacher or teacher/musician. It also dealt with the construction of this document evaluating it according to the current legislation and pointing out some gaps in it. It is hoped with this work to contribute to the curricular reformulation of the degree course in music of UERGS and other higher education institutions as well as to the advancement in the area of Music Education.
