Bacterial Biosurfactants

About The Book

The project aimed to isolate screen and characterize biosurfactant-producing bacteria from oil-contaminated soils including petroleum soil garage soil and agro-industrial waste soil. Various microbiological techniques were employed to isolate and identify bacterial strains with potential biosurfactant production capabilities. The biosurfactants produced by these strains were thoroughly characterized and their properties were evaluated. The findings highlight the promising potential of biosurfactant-producing bacteria in remediating oil-contaminated soils and producing biosurfactants for diverse industrial applications. The study serves as a foundation for further research on optimizing biosurfactant production and developing sustainable approaches for soil and oil remediation.
