Bacterial Pathogens From Drinking Water in Quetta Pakistan

Inspite of high incidence of water born diseases in Quetta the potable water supply has never been given proper attention by the concerned authorities. This study was designed to check the drinking water for contamination with pathogenic bacteria and their susceptibility to commonly used antibiotics in clinical medicine. In the present study the main objectives were to check drinking water for pathogenic bacterial load detection and biochemical identification of the bacterial isolates in drinking water antibiogram of the isolated bacterial pathogens and to create awareness in common people about drinking water quality and its related illnesses.
