A coming of age story a love story a dark story of madness. Meet Hamlet Calderone and the love of his life Scarlette Copola.  To know them is to be mesmerized by their idiosyncratic personalities. And when you dig deep into their back-stories there is an uncanny logic of life that reveals itself. The two protagonists grow up dealing with dysfunctional families and mentally ill parents.  When they fall in love with each other having had similar experiences enhances their bond.  But soon their love turns sour and things fall apart as Hamlet descends into madness.
