About The Book

The barn owl (Tyto alba) has an important role in control of potential agricultural pests as they use rodents (rats/mice) and other small mammals as their food and have been successfully used for their control. This work provides quantitative data of selection and prey selection of barn owl in different localities of Sindh and Balochistan Pakistan. The dominant food in the diet of barn owl were rats/mice and shrews which is 88.1% of all the prey items and cause serious damage to crops from sowing to harvest time. This book shall be of great use for students and research workers of biology.
