While this study is being written there is a discussion about maintaining school quality in times of increasing numbers of refugees with school-age children and adolescents. This can only be maintained with the quality of a teacher training program. An extension of the topics with aspects of further education and training can only be understood in the context of lifelong learning. The author has personal experience of the topic through his learning and teaching development in his professional life. The article presents the educational sciences and their sub-disciplines and is an attempt to close a gap in the preparation for the teaching profession or for further and continuing education.Increased importance should be attached to synergies. In teacher training the theory and practice of the respective subject area and university didactics face the challenges of participant orientation course content modernization of the education system with findings from educational science educational psychology and educational sociology as well as basic qualifications values standards and skills acquisition.
