The State of Israel has become home to a wide variety of groups. Its development into a state entity is a success story. With its founding in 1948 the country integrated immigrants from over 120 countries into a Jewish-democratic state. An agrarian state developed into a leading high-tech nation. The founding nation still had the idea of a socialist society. Since the founding of the state the Middle East conflict has played a major role. Peace and security are still unfulfilled. For political education the diversity of societies is of particular interest such as cultural-religious diversity state independence and international Zionism.
