This book was articulated as a contribution towards enhanced security in our troubled society. Insecurity is the opposite of security. It''s globally acknowledged that security is everybody''s business which means everybody has roles to play for our collective security which includes our children and teenagers.Furthermore children globally are victims of insecurity in spite of United Nation''s declaration towards protection of children elderly and women. If that is correct that means the children being victims should know basic tips and be exposed to early knowledge of the issues that threatens and confronts them as well as the ways out. Most of the threatening issues often lead to painful deaths harms rape disability kidnapping and disorientations. If they survive hardly will their lives remain the same again.Therefore catch them young is a known maxim. It is in view of the above that this book should be seen and regarded as security handbook for those concerned.Similarly adults can as well tap from the book to understand so as to transfer knowledge of information extracted from the book to families dependents and friends. Families may begin to implement lessons for a safer home and society at large. Early inculcation of these values today is a guaranteed investment for tomorrow.A comprehensive delivery could come by way of the policy formulators working closely with certified Security Consultants to drive this process for a safer country. It is as well one of the pillars of my own idea of Total Security Coverage of Nigeria (TOSCON) as captured in my book Community Policing: Securing the Gated Community (facts cases and nuggets). Families are integral part of Community policing. It then follows that harvesting and orientating these children at early stages of life will immensely aid the Community Policing concept.This book was primarily written with our dear innocent children in mind. It was meant to ensure that our children that represent our future do not pass through the errors violations and pains their fellow children have gone through. It is geared towards enlightening educating informing and preparing them to be safety conscious and adequately prepare for life ahead.Government as a major stakeholder must be interested in the book as it will properly guide relevant ministries in policy formulation and implementation in areas of security education welfare and judiciary. It is the basic responsibility of government to protect lives and properties including the teenagers. As our parents leaders and providers they should know what to do how to do what to do and when to do such so as to have desired impimpac. Religious places have roles to play since they are seen as role models representatives of God and opinion molders. They must join in preaching against violations and violence of various dimensions. Their roles in safeguarding the sanctity of our children are non- negotiable. This book provided an insight into such roles.School environment is a place that children stay greater part of the day week and months. It''s a place away from home and a convergent point of children from different families economic ethnic social and political backgrounds. Given such divergence beyond government and families schools still have roles to play. What are those roles?Social media is good but like everything it has its ugly parts.
