Infertility is the inability of a sexually active non-contraceptive couple to achieve pregnancy in one year. The male partner can be evaluated for infertility or sub-fertility using a variety of clinical interventions and also from a laboratory evaluation of semen. Infertility is a major health problem in developing countries because there is no adequate health care and the high cost of infertility treatment.
