Beacon of Light

As the morning dawns on Edelmira's 107th birthday her peaceful life is interrupted by the arrival of her daughter Kasiah O'Stara. The mortal vessel of her goddess The Lady of Light. Kasiah's arrival brings back unresolved issues between Edelmira and her goddess. Once again The Lady has need for Edelmira but Edelmira isn't interested. A plea from her daughter makes Edelmira consider one last mission for her goddess. Once again the world is teetering on the edge of a knife blade as an old power threatens to return. Edelmira had stood up to it once and beaten it back. The Lady demands that she do this again as that was part of her vow. Edelmira has other ideas but her past isn't done with her yet and as another figure from those long-ago days appears Edelmira agrees to one last mission. Not for her goddess but for her daughter. What secret is the Lady of Light keeping from her now? And what part does her daughter play?
