If you want to be a wizard you need the perfect pet. Brownies dont have pets. Pets are messy and they arent very good at following rules. Bean is a brownie who sometimes doesnt follow the rules and certainly doesnt mind a good mess. Hes a little bit different but thats okay. What Bean really wants is to be a wizard.
