Aluminium alloys due to their light weight stiffness anti-corrosion and workability properties find application in the fabrication of a wide range of components used in industries and daily life. This research work investigates the design development and fabrication of AA7075-Marble dust (0-6 wt.% @ 2wt.%) alloy composites using the stir casting method. Subsequently samples are characterized for their physical (density & voids content) mechanical (hardness compressive strength impact strength and flexural strength) and dry sliding wear (on a pin on disc) performance. It has been observed that voids content increases with reinforcement content. The hardness impact and flexural strength of 6 wt.% reinforcement was the highest while the 2 wt.% reinforcement showed the highest compressive strength. The specific wear rate decreases with the reinforcement content and sliding velocity whereas it increases with normal load and sliding distance.
