Because I'm a Mother

As a mother of three I had driven my fair share of times to the emergency room for broken bones and stitches. In my mind I thought this would be just another long night in the waiting room only to return later with some remedy of sorts. I told Alex not to wake his younger brother and sister and Id call him as soon as I knew anything. It was midnight. I dont know the exact date. It was October of 2003 and my life my wonderfully normal every womans routine life was about to change. Thank goodness I didnt know as I backed out of our driveway that from that moment on my safe comfortable life would be forever changed.
