He entered the world wrestling for position as he grasped his twin brother's heel. From there he wrestled with his call and identity continuing to grasp for what he felt was his. He would try to fulfill God's call and His promises in his own strength. Jacob's wrestling led him away from home and into a new set of challenges to wrestle. He wrestled with in-laws wives work and still with his call and identity. Finally he wrestled with God received a new name and was forever changed.</p><p> This study surveys Jacob's life from when his father Isaac prayed for his mother Rebekah to overcome barrenness. You will observe Jacob's relationships and family dynamics with his parents brother uncle and wives. You might see correlations to your family upbringing or find how you relate to Jacob and the characters surrounding his life. You will find personal growth and healing applications alongside Jacob as you observe his life struggles and victory.
