Bed & Breakfast at Charlford

Three teenage lads Slim Whacker and Boots of the band The Acolytes head off on their annual pilgrimage to Charlford. But this time instead of bedding down under canvas they opt for Bed & Breakfast at the Red Lion with a proper bed each night and meals prepared for them - pure luxury and more time to write and practise.But the people and activities they get involved with have far-reaching effects on many lives including their own as they embark on a kaleidoscopic voyage of discovery through the lives and history of Charlford and its inhabitants old and new.From an uninhabited manor house with its hidden treasures and secrets of horse drawn carriages and clandestine love letters to a spate of burglaries where guard dogs remain mysteriously silent there is so much for the lads to contend with - much more than they could possibly have anticipated.
