About The Book

Jagannath Srinivasan also referred to as Jags is a bright albeit highly confused upwardly mobile male armed with an enviable IIT+IIM education. He drifts through life in benign auto pilot easily swayed by things he reads people he meets and advice he receives. One day while trying to break into his professor's house to submit a late assignment he chances upon a girl who he ultimately marries. Armed with a wife he is let loose to make his mark on the world. Step aboard as Jags goes from one job to another and one country to another with his self-deprecating humor and idiosyncratic view of cultures. Life is infinitely happier when you can laugh at yourself-experience it with the lovable Jags as he bungles and stumbles through it.About the AuthorAfter completing his MBA from the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad Paddy Rangappa worked for 13 years in Procter & Gamble covering media market research brand management and category management. In 1999 he was posted to Indonesia and then to Singapore as head of Media for P&G's Asean Australasia and India region. In 2001 he joined the multinational fast-food company McDonald's where he's currently Senior Director - Marketing Asia-Pacific Middle East Africa (APMEA). Paddy's work involves travelling extensively; he works with the markets in the APMEA region and interacts frequently with the other regions and global headquarters in the US. This gives his wide exposure to the colourful characteristics quirks and foibles of a variety of people from a variety of places. Growing up in an Indian Army family he has lived in many places in India. He's married with a 25 year-old boy and a 21 year-old girl. He plays a decent game of tennis (university captain and former number 1 ranked player in Gujarat). He also writes a regular humour column in the Indian newspaper DNA (http://theflip-side.blogspot.com/).
