Behavioural deficits after stroke

The extent of neuropsychological disorders and behavioural deficits following brain damage is primarily responsible for a good quality of life and successful social and professional reintegration. Since behavioural deficits are crucial for social family and professional reintegration they deserve special consideration in therapy planning during the early stages of rehabilitation. It can be assumed that the early inclusion of individually tailored neuropsychological and behavioural therapy as well as therapeutic support for the social and family environment could contribute to improving the reintegration of this patient group.
