BEHIND THE SCENES OF ACADEMIC EVASION

This work investigates the causes of academic dropout highlights the importance of higher education for economic and social development and addresses the challenges faced by students and institutions. The authors identify factors such as lack of vocational guidance financial difficulties academic demotivation and deficiencies in educational management as the main causes of dropout. The research combines quantitative and qualitative data offering a critical analysis and proposing practical strategies for student retention. The work aims to strengthen the relationship between educational institutions and students promoting a more welcoming academic environment adapted to the needs of students. It is essential reading for educational managers and public policy makers contributing to a more inclusive and transformative higher education in Mozambique.
