The author Jamshed Mathur nick-named Jimmy was born and educated in India as a Chemical Engineer. His book covers his parentage childhood education job-hunting followed by 15 years working in India emigration and 30 years of work in the United States. His focus is primarily on people and brief histories of places where he worked and of products he handled. He belongs to a family which at one time had three brothers who were ambassadors of India so there is an interesting look at their lives. The book closes with a chapter on an unusual Swiss woman he married.
