Benefits of Plant Biotechnology

This study was performed for correlation of meristem culture method with shoot tip culture strategy for getting infection free plant examination of micropropagation progress of two unique supplement media and assurance of adequacy of ongoing PCR measure for the recognition of infections. Two distinct garlic species (Allium sativum and Allium tuncelianum) and two unique supplement media were utilized in this analysis. Results showed that Medium 2 was more effective contrasted with Medium 1 for both A. tuncelianum and A. sativum (Kastamonu garlic clone). In vitro plants acquired by means of meristem and shoot tip societies were tried for assurance of onion yellow bantam infection (OYDV) and leek yellow stripe infection (LYSV) through constant PCR measure. In garlic plants spread by means of meristem culture we were unable to recognize any infection. OYDV and LYSV infections were identified in plants got through shoot tip culture. OYDV infection was seen in measure of 80% and 73% of tried plants for A. tuncelianum and A. sativum separately. LYSV infection was found in measure of 67% of tried plants of A. tuncelianum and in measure of 87% of tried plants of A. sativum in this review.
