Bereavement

This story was told to me in Paeroa after I met John at the Elim Church. John was a fiery Scotsman headed the New Zealand Christian Writers Guild and was a Bible Teacher in the local school. He lived in a magnificent house on a high hill overlooking the town - a house he built.After having fallen out with Church folk John sold up and bought the property in Thames - and a vacant lot on a hill at Ngarimu Bay on the road to Coromandel - which was a mere 15-minute drive due north of Thames. There he built a beautiful double-story building with a wrap-around verandah plus a lift within the building.John died a few years ago his wife sold the property and moved to Wellington.
