It is three days until Christmas. As the clock ticks slower than usual Gracie Natalie and Ella wonder if Santa will ever arrive. Thankfully Bernard the family's beagle is about to come to the rescue. Prompted by their mother the girls' father helps pass the time by weaving a captivating tale of Bernard and how he played an important role in helping during the very first Christmas. As Bernard's journey takes him toward a bright star he must use his special beagle hunting skills to lead the shepherds to baby Jesus. But will they find Him in time?
