<p>A friend once told me I should aim for 100 rejections in a year. She wasn't just encouraging me to set a bar that I could reach - the 100 rejection project is a real thing.</p><p>In 2021 I gave it a go. This is a collection of the pieces that found homes and some reflections on the process.</p><p>You don't normally see failure especially in writing. This is because usually a writing failure means that no one will publish it. Thanks to self-publishing I can now embarrass myself without needing to inconvenience a submissions editor.</p><p>It's a brave new world.</p>
