<p><em style=color: rgba(32 33 36 1)>Better Ways to See</em><span style=color: rgba(32 33 36 1)> celebrates the author's unique perspectives through experiences with nature and art. He attributes his better ways of seeing to parents who wanted him and his sister to have more wonder-filled views of the world than they had because of their limited Great Depression era experiences. The chapbook includes a series of bird and nature poems linked to an outing with his father where they sought out the first post-DDT eagle to return to central North Carolina. The other pieces are ekphrastic poems inspired by sculptures he saw with his mother during a visit to the Storm King Art Center in the Hudson River Valley.</span></p>
