Between ideology and pragmatism

The book addresses the relations between the Brazilian military regime and the Soviet Union under the dichotomy between ideology and pragmatism identifying the factors that favored the development of the relationship between regimes with such distinct political-ideological projects understanding the influence of the international context of the time and highlighting the domains in which the relations between Brasília and Moscow were more substantial. Not least the work aims at establishing a genuinely Brazilian understanding of the Soviet Union and its foreign policy.
