Between the lines of the cartoon

In this book whose content is drawn from extensive research on the work of cartoonist Henfil Cristhiano Teixeira delicately analyses the meanings of some of the selected drawings in the constitution of places of imaginary experiences thereby he seeks to reach other levels of knowledge and reflection on the subject. For example in addition to his contribution to today's thinking on the concept of caricature he also seeks to establish a relationship between History and Communication that places them in a situation or state of connection with each other through a force of reciprocity in which one depends on the other in the constitution of facts. He thus invites us to understand that communication effectively participates in the process of historical facts. In addition the book also creates some spaces dedicated to the construction of interpretations of some cartoons working with the concept of graphic language humour and narrative form. The imaginary becomes a central category in this work from which the author will make his considerations about the 'impressions' of Henfil's experiences in newspapers magazines and in the context of the Brazilian military dictatorship.
