The Kung and Kwedi of Angola are varieties of the Khoisan ethnolinguistic group who inhabit almost all of southern Africa where they are considered to be the first inhabitants of Africa and planet earth. Despite this they face difficulties that threaten their anthropological existence with one of the threatening elements undoubtedly being the process of socio-economic and political integration into the Bantu community. This text seeks to describe this process of integration faced by the Kwedi and !Kung of Cunene (Angola) based on fieldwork carried out in Oshimolo Cuanhama Municipality with the aim of understanding this process and its contribution to the multidimensional development of the !Kung and Kwedi. The research question asks what socio-political and economic challenges need to be developed in order to further promote the socio-political and economic integration of the Khoisan ethnolinguistic group in Angola. Methodologically this work is being carried out in three distinct stages: bibliographical studies interview surveys and participatory observation followed by the application of the historical method.
