Beyond the Blue Mountain

<p>Official records in Bucks County Pennsylvania indicate that the original land ownership records for the Mahoning Valley were designated as Beyond the Blue Mountain. Northampton Co. was created with what was to become Mahoning Township located within its boundaries. In September of 1843 Mahoning Township became part of the newly created Carbon County.
