Beyond the Walls 2025

<p><strong>Fourteenth edition of the annual anthology written curated and produced by students at York St John University. </strong></p><p>In Beyond the Walls 2025 the mind is revealed in all its glorious contradictions. It is a festival of selves. These writers show us that the mind like Milton's Heaven and Hell is not merely a place we inhabit but something we shape for better or worse with every thought every memory real or imagined. To have a mind is to live at the mercy of its power to endure it yes but also to revel in its creativity.</p><p>It is a privilege to accompany these writers as they venture beyond the safe walls of certainty beyond the walls of our academy and the city to confront the mind's mysteries head-on.
