2 nd Chapter of Bhagavad Gita  Gita is the essence of Upanishads. Though it appears that the Gita was expounded by Lord Krishna for Arjunas benefit it is intended for the entire human race. The desire for knowledge and the intensity to know the truth makes one an eligible student to learn the Gita. Philosophical meaning of the slokas and their essence can be grasped by a wise student who is a spiritual sadhaka with the help and grace of a Guru. It is the intensity to learn on the part of the student which elicits the teachings from the Guru. Krishna who is thus inspired by the many questions from Arjuna presents to us the celestial song of Bhagavad Gita which is the cream of Upanishads.
