Bhagwati

The story is setup in a rural atmosphere in the early 21st century. The tale begins when a twelve-year old lost girl, who has run from her home, meets Bhagwati, a strange mysterious woman in her 50’s, who lives in the jungle, away from any civilization with her pet dog and a skeleton, whom she regards as her beloved husband. For Bhagwati her husband is alive in the skeleton. She feeds it, dresses it, reads to it and loves it. She even carries it to the sunset points. Bhagwati pretends her husband lives with her. Is Bhagwati insane or is he pious? Is she real or is she deceitful? The mystery unfolds and hence, starts a journey of love, loss & life. The story explores the theme of self-love while at the same time it tells the value of loving and caring for others.
