Bill Bolton—Flying Midshipman

The novel follows the adventures of Bill Bolton a young and adventurous midshipman in the Royal Navy. Eager to prove himself Bill finds himself assigned to the Royal Naval Air Service (RNAS) during the early years of aviation. As a flying midshipman Bill undergoes rigorous training and learns to pilot various aircraft including biplanes and seaplanes. Along the way he forms close bonds with his fellow aviators and experiences the thrill of flight firsthand.
