BILLY BUNTER THE BOLD

Oodles of tuck were laid out in the study for the tea-party prepared by the Famous Five for a visit by Wingate the School Captain. Unfortunately Bunter spotted it before the party began and fell to the temptation of sampling it. Perhaps he let his enthusiasm run away with him a bit but he did leave some if not enough to save him from the wrath of the Remove. Hauled up to a Form trial the fat boy was sentenced to Coventry until he reformed. Miserable under this infliction Bunter invented various ways of getting himself back into favour including a black eye which he claimed was presented to him while defending the honour of Greyfriars against the Juniors of Highcliffe School. The soot didn't fool the Remove for very long and this like his other schemes ended uncomfortably.Came the day when the Owl of the Remove really did achieve something – only to find that Harry Wharton and Co. wouldn't believe a word of it. But virtue triumphs in the end of course.
