About The Book

The novel Bimals ANAND MATH is written in memory of tribal girl Sanjeeta Kumari (Indias Malala Yousafzai) who was killed in Jharkhands Gumla jungle in 2015 by her colleagues in Maoism for her -Maoists alleged- crime of stealthy joining of school for study and wish to return to the mainstream she had left at the age of 11. The central protagonist of the novel is a daughter of a Maoist couple. As she grew she started recognizing extremist manner of revolution was misfit in highly democratized post-independent India. She and her mentor a professor in university who along with girl’s friend rescued her after she was raped and thrown to die along with her parents worked to clean the university from evil clutches of criminal undemocratic and corrupt elements through democratic means as prelude to bigger change in the state and in the national politics. Alongside the novel tells the prevailing political educational and social situation in India.
