Biochemistry Revisited

Chemical reactions related to living beings are studied under biochemistry. As the name suggests both biology and chemistry are encompassed under this subject. It is the functions composition and structure of the substances that make up a living organism. In this book our focus will be on the chemical processes that are going on in the human body in particular. It is the study of the constituents of cells such as proteins carbohydrates lipids nucleic acids and other biomolecules and also of their structure functions and transformations that occuring during a life process.
