The Term Biodiversity is used widely but its meaning, nature, characters, scope and applications are different. The totality of gene, species and ecosystem is regarded as biodiversity. We are familiar with species diversity. Small to smaller and large to larger or from big to bigger components of organisms are regarded as bio resources and they may be living or non-living in nature. So, for the ecosystem flow process, resource management is important though all components are generated by nature. Hence, resources and its direct connection with biological components are essential. In this book general as well as applied aspects of biodiversity and resource management have been placed in a variety of ways. Hope that readers will enjoy its beauty and intrinsic value to manage resources in their own area.
