Additionally the book discusses the rights of indigenous peoples in the Philippines and their importance as key stakeholders to be included and involved in the decision-making process for the effective conservation of biodiversity. In the final chapter it presents the implications of the author's research study on policy analysis and its recommendations for the improvement of the current policies which are considered to be ineffective and their stipulations on community involvement were described as Tokenisms.
