BIODIVERSITY CONSERVATION

Biodiversity conservation refers to the protection upliftment and management of biodiversity to derive sustainable benefits for present and future generations.There are three different types of biodiversity- 1) Species biodiversity 2) Genetic biodiversity and 3) Ecological biodiversity.Biodiversity and its maintenance are very important for sustaining life on earth.Two types of methods are employed to conserve biodiversity. They are – In situ conservation and Ex-situ conservation.All these issues have been covered under 4 chapters of the book.
