The motivation for this work arises from the need to promote the protection conservation and sustainable use of the biodiversity of the educational and community environment as a premise to avoid certain human activities that influence the destruction of the natural habitat of numerous forms of life that inhabit the environment. All of which implies a new ethic that in most cases means radical changes in individual behavior and attitudes towards the environment on which we depend. This work integrates historical epistemological and environmental education aspects with concrete experiences in the teaching and learning of contents related to biodiversity and the problems surrounding conservation education. The book provides an excellent update for students professors and researchers both undergraduate and graduate interested in the conservation of ecosystems and the services they provide.
