The demand for energy is geometrically increasing all over the world and there is need to harness energy from every opportunity and source nature bestowed.Biogas (biological gas) is obtained from the anaerobic fermentation or degradation of wastes; vegetable cow dung industrial animal and poultry droppings and is a mixture of methane carbondioxide and traces of hydrogen sulphide.It is a biological processes which involve three steps: hydrolysisacid formation and methanization.Biogas formation is simply the conversion of simple compounds into methane. The amount of solid wastes generated in developing countries such as Nigeria has steadily increased over the last few decades as a result of increase in population and continuous growth of industries and agricultural activities.
